October NEWS!

Happy October to all of our GADA dancers and families!  We hope everyone is enjoying their classes as things settle down and fall technique is well underway.  A few reminders for this time of year:

OCTOBER TUITION NOW DUE!
Please make sure October tuition is paid by Oct 8th to avoid the $15 late fee.

Dancers on stage during a recital in bright costumes. Noise reduction was applied on the floor and RECITAL DATES HAVE BEEN SET!
Please mark your calendars!  This year’s recital date will be Saturday, May 16th!  We are thrilled to be back at Hendrickson High School’s PAC and thrilled to have all of our shows on Saturday again!  We will be getting you more information regarding the show times and show assignments by the end of this month!  Each class will be assigned to one of the four shows scheduled for 11am, 1:30pm, 4pm, and 6:30pm. We have an exciting theme planned for this year’s show and can’t wait to share this announcement later this month, as we will need everyone’s creativity involved!  More info coming soon!

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES and RECITAL OUTFIT WEEK! Pretty mixed race girl and Caucasian boy pretending to be superhero
All GADA students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes OR a favorite recital costume to class the week before Halloween (Saturday, Oct-25th thru Thursday, Oct-30th)!  Parents will be invited into classrooms of younger classes to take pictures the last few minutes of the halloween classes for anyone that wishes.  Please just make sure they still bring dance shoes and can move in costumes:)

SEUSSICAL PRODUCTION STARTS SATURDAY!

It’s not too late, if you haven’t signed up yet for GADA’s SEUSSICAL The MUSICAL Production, rehearsals start this Saturday, Oct 4th!  Stop by the front desk or sign up online today to be part of this magical experience!!  Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays throughout October and November.

LOBBY NOISE!
We are so thankful to be in a bigger space this year.  The space and high ceilings are wonderful, however they can also cause noise to echo in the lobby. We love having space for siblings and parents to wait when it is convenient to stay.  However, we need to ask that all parents keep siblings with you at all times, and please be respectful of noise levels so that dance classes are not disrupted.  We have asked our front desk staff to gently remind parents, dancers and siblings of noise levels as needed.
We are often asked about drop off policies.  Please note that 6 and under children are asked to be escorted to and from studios.  We do not require the parent to stay in the lobby the entire class, just to drop off and pick-up.  Ages 7 and older are up to the parent.  You are welcome to drop-off (and we have a great drop-off loop built into the sidewalk) or come in and out with your child.
HOLIDAY TEA PARTIES!

This year we will be hosting Holiday Tea Parties for all of our Intro to Dance, Creative Movement I, Creative Movement II, Ballet/Tap Combo I, and Ballet/Tap Combo II classes on Saturday, DECEMBER 13th! More info to come!

WE ARE OPEN ON COLUMBUS DAY!
We WILL have classes on Monday, October 13th!
JOIN US FOR THE MS WALK with the GADA TEAM!
Please join GADA dancers and families as we take part in the MS Walk taking place at the Dell Diamond on Sunday, Oct 26th.  For those of you that aren’t aware, one of GADA’s high school students was recently diagnosed with MS.  Her family of dancers at GADA will be walking to support her and raise awareness on Sunday, October 26th!  If you would like to be part of our team, you may register at:
But you can also help support this mission with just the spare change in your pocket or purse.  GADA has placed spare change cans in our lobby.  We are asking people to consider donating spare change as a small act of change to help fund a cure for this disease and the courageous fight one of our young dancers is fighting.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

HELPFUL REMINDERS!
Please make sure younger dancers have time to use the restroom before dance class begins!
Please make sure ALL DANCE SHOES are labeled.  It is so much easier to return lost shoes when we have initials or names!
