Jessica Lindberg Coxe earned her BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1998. After pursuing her dance career in New York City at the Martha Graham School, the Oona Haaranen Dance Company and teaching at CHILDANCE, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. She completed her MFA in Dance Notation, Reconstruction and Directing from Score by presenting the first reconstruction of dance pioneer Loïe Fuller’s Fire Dance. Jessica enjoyed teaching dance at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas from 2003 to 2006. Since moving down to the Austin area she has been a very active teacher in the Round Rock, Texas community and a professor of Modern Dance, Ballet Technique, Dance Composition and Dance History at Austin Community College. Ms. Jessica is delighted to join the faculty at Greater Austin Dance Academy as an instructor in Ballet Technique.
