Heartsong Dance Company doesn't compete. Instead we focus on honoring the expression, integrity, and art of dance. Heartsong is for dancers who:

• Love dancing and want to grow as artists

• Seek challenging choreography and performance opportunities
• Commit to consistent attendance and year-round training

Age groups and times:

• Ages 9-10: 4:00-5:30 PM
• Ages 11-13: 5:30-7:30 PM
• Ages 14-17: 7:30-9:30 PM

Dancers must prepare ballet, tap, and jazz. Attire: black leotard and pink tights for ballet; all black for jazz and tap. Hair in a low bun.

Heartsong is a year-round training commitment:

• Summer: Dance intensive + minimum 2 technique classes per week
• Fall/Spring: 2 ballet + 1 tap + 1 jazz class per week
• Saturday rehearsals: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (mandatory, max 2 absences per semester)
• Dress rehearsals: Non-negotiable attendance

• Saturday rehearsals with guest and resident choreographers
• Solo performance opportunities
• Performance concert
• Choreography showcase
• Fall and spring convention
• Dance travel
• Masterclasses with guest artists

Monthly fee: ~$85/month (August-May)

This covers: Saturday rehearsals, guest choreography, costume rental, performance wear, masterclasses, and concert/showcase costs.

Additional costs:

• Convention fees (~$315 per convention)
• Solo choreography fees (if applicable)
• Group entry fees (~$50 per dance)
• Travel expenses for out-of-town events
