My Bio
Dance has always been a big part of Kate's life. She started dancing at the age of four and was on a competitive dance team by the age of 12. Kate grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where she was trained in Ballet,Tap,Jazz, Lyrical,Contemporary,and Hip hop. Kate started her teaching career as a assistant and developed her skills into a full time teacher. Kate is always looking for ways to expand her dance education. In 2008 she performed at the BCS Bowl in New Orleans and again in 2009 in Miami. As a competitive dancer she took part in many dance conventions and competitions around the country. In 2014 Kate began to focus on early education of dance and attended the Twinkle Star conference in Philadelphia. She relocated in 2015 to Southern California and continued sharing her passion of dance and teaching. Kate believes that stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new styles of dance will build your child to be the best dancer they can be. Her passion for dance shows in the classroom where she encourages her students to be both confident and creative. Kate now lives in Texas with her family and new baby boy, Jaxon. This is Kate’s second year being a part of the wonderful GADA faculty.
