Recital Details & FAQ

NITTY GRITTY DETAILS and FAQ

Yes - this year we are NOT charging for recital tickets. Instead, each dancer will simply be charged a $35 performance fee (per dancer NOT per class). This fee will help cover rental and production expenses for the performances. 

 
(Please note, recital performance fees are NOT REFUNDABLE).

Performance fees will be charged and collected with February tuition on Feb 2nd.

You can always decide NOT to participate in the recital. However, once you opt-out, you cannot opt back in.
 
YES! We would never expect a dancer to show up and perform with other kids without practicing first. However, we know COVID numbers are high right now, and we FULLY respect those choosing to dance from home. Therefore, we ask all recital participants to be back in class and ready to rehearse when we return from spring break. (March 22nd). (Assuming numbers are safer in March.)
Right now, we have an agreement with the city of Round Rock that every dancer can have TWO audience members watch their performance. We will increase this number as we are able. First priority will of course go to siblings of dancers. 
 
Right now, however, we must abide by our agreement of 2 audience members per dancer. This is for EVERYONE's safety and is part of what enables us to offer live performance options. We understand it is not ideal, and look forward to large audiences again in future years!
All of our mini-shows will be held in the amphitheater located directly behind the Raab house (next to the Play for All Abilities Park just off AW Grimes). LOTS of details will come later this spring in regards to where to park, arrival times, dancer instructions, etc!
Nope! We will handle all of the preparations IN CLASS this season! Yay -less for parents to worry about adding to their busy spring calendars. Outside of class, dancers will just need to come to their assigned show day and performance time!
We will follow the health protocol for mask recommendations at the time of the performance. If we had to guess now, audience mask-wearing WILL probably be required, with dancers being optional while on stage (but worn while backstage). All of the GADA faculty and staff will be masked throughout all GADA performance events.
These spaces will be randomly assigned and you will be directed to your area upon entry into the amphitheater.
More details will come regarding where you take your dancer before the performance, the performance procedures, as well as picking up dancers after performances. Our goal is to make your mini-show as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, while also keeping our dancers 100% safe. As we work out details, more communication will come later this spring!

The Audience CAN...

 
Audience members CAN take video this season due to the laid back nature of the performance.
 
Audience members CAN bring food/drinks that abide by park rules.
 
Audience members CAN bring blankets or low to ground chairs to sit in!
 
Audience members CAN cheer and clap and get excited to watch our amazing GADA dancers in this beautiful park setting!
